Type approval — which authority granted itUkraine
Approved by Ukraine under the UN 1958 Agreement — not made there. An approval granted by any one party is recognised by all the others, which is the whole point of the scheme: the tyre was built wherever its maker builds tyres.

Defined in UN vehicle regulation.

Where E46 is on the tyre

The approval mark sits low on the sidewall in its own small lettering, apart from the size. On a real tyre the E is inside a circle. Here it is on an example tyre.

E46 Approval mark

Type approval granted by Ukraine. Moulded in its own small lettering lower on the wall, usually near the DOT code rather than in the size line.

Also moulded on the wall
