Approval Mark E23

E23
Type approval — which authority granted itGreece
Approved by Greece under the UN 1958 Agreement — not made there. An approval granted by any one party is recognised by all the others, which is the whole point of the scheme: the tyre was built wherever its maker builds tyres.

Defined in UN vehicle regulation.

Where E23 is on the tyre

The approval mark sits low on the sidewall in its own small lettering, apart from the size. On a real tyre the E is inside a circle. Here it is on an example tyre.
